Upload your video file

• Option 1 (preferred): Upload to your YouTube channel. This is a common practice in online learning to upload to a reliable video hosting service such as YouTube or Vimeo.
  • An unlisted video explained and how-to: Unlisted videos from UMBC
  • Locate a list of unlisted videos in your account.
    • Make sure that you are signed into YouTube
    • Go to this link https://www.youtube.com/my_videos?o=U&vmo=unlisted&sq=is%3Aunlisted
  • Embed your video link to LMS Embed media hosted outside Moodle from UMASS
• Option 2: Upload to LMS directly: Upload a Video or Audio File to Moodle from UMASS

Issue with Embedded videos

• Moodle LMS, by default, will not display a video as you insert into your page. Students must click the link to watch the video.
• At times, you may want the video to appear automatically.
• To reverse the setting, go to Administration / Page module administration / Filters (for a page) or Administration / Course administration / Filters (to make this setting for the whole course)

• Multimedia plugins to “On”
