Revision as of 22:30, 5 April 2016
By default mediawiki allow non-user (guest) to edit content. To avoid letting this happen. we need to configure file "LocalSettings.php" by adding:
1. Not allow guest edit
$wgGroupPermissions['*']['edit'] = false;
2. Only user can edit
$wgGroupPermissions['user']['edit'] = true;
3. (optional) we do not want guest to create user account
$wgGroupPermissions['*']['createaccount'] = false;
Example: End of LocalSetteings.php
- End of automatically generated settings.
- Add more configuration options below.
$wgGroupPermissions['*']['createaccount'] = false;
$wgGroupPermissions['*']['edit'] = false; $wgGroupPermissions['user']['edit'] = true;
