You will find this folder in “Shared with me,” and Double click on the file you wish to open.

The Preview of the file will appear, look for the “Open with” button.

Select the Drop-down list “Open with” and choose Google Docs.

This would allow you to edit the document without leaving the web browser, and all the edit history is kept (and we can see who edit which part of the document).
